The Review 📚 Tuck Everlasting

The Title/Cover Draw:

  • I have always wanted to read this. Very glad someone recommended it to me.

💜 What I liked:

  • I loved how magical this story is, especially if you are younger. I feel like it is a story I have heard before and yet also haven’t. It’s about eternal life and there is interesting commentary as well.

😱 What I didn’t like:

  • The ending seemed a little abrupt but I think that’s the fun of it.

🚦 My face at the end: 🤫

💭  Reasons to Read:

  • 1. Shorter length
  • 2. Magical water
  • 3. Commentary on life
  • 4. A toad

🕧 Mini-Summary:

  • Winnie Foster stumbles across a secret in the woods and the family that will fight to the death to keep it.

📘 Summary 📚 Tuck Everlasting

Doomed to—or blessed with—eternal life after drinking from a magic spring, the Tuck family wanders about trying to live as inconspicuously and comfortably as they can. When ten-year-old Winnie Foster stumbles on their secret, the Tucks take her home and explain why living forever at one age is less a blessing that it might seem. Complications arise when Winnie is followed by a stranger who wants to market the spring water for a fortune.
