Review

I am not too proud to admit I was wrong about this movie.  In all fairness, I didn’t hate it. I remember thinking it was a near miss. This was the end of a long run for Michael J. Fox. It was hard not to compare him to previous successes.

I was really impressed with Michael’s performance here. He really reigned in his usual manic energy to play a haunted widower. He’s Frank Bannister. a psychic Investigator with a dubious technique.

The plot focuses on a serial killer from the past and how his history is entwined with present day murders. Frank has to solve the case and prove his innocence in one fell swoop.Peter Jackson (Yes that one) deftly handles the tone that swings from ridiculous to heartbreaking drama.

This is a worthy addition to your Halloween collection especially if you’re like us chicken hearted trick or treaters.
