The first time I used this serum, I really expected straight oil, which makes my hair oily. However, this is a white serum which smells like oil. You are supposed to work it into your hair while it is still damp after a shower. To be honest, I was surprised about how soft it made my hair. And while it did cause my hair to be slightly oily, I think it was because I used too much. If you use just a small amount on your hands, it does not cause oiliness at all.
The other thing that surprised me is that it is a plastic bottle. it would have been nice to see it in a glass bottle like so many other companies.
