The Review

The Title/Cover Draw:

  • Gabby’s Book Troop book club was reading it this month. The One is coming on Netflix and these 2 books take place in the same universe.

💜 What I liked:

  • The mystery of who is behind the program, how the miders respond and how they end up is what kept me reading. I had read The ONe but DNF’d the Passengers so I did have a little context to this book. It was written well and that’s why I rated it so high.

😱 What I didn’t like:

  • While the twist was unexpected, I just didn’t feel a rush of excitement like I do when I read other thrillers. It was definitely a stressful read, but at the end I was just ok.

💁‍♀️ The Characters:

  • The Minders: Emilia, Sinead, Flick, Bruno, and Charlie. The book is told from their points of view.

🚦 The Ending:

  • I am satisfied, mostly, with what was explained.

💭 Consider if you liked:

  • The One and The Passengers.

All thoughts and opinions are my own.
