Since we are always searching for ways to remove toxins from our life, I felt like it was time to share these products with you. You may have heard that Honest Company does a variety of products for the home (you can see a review we did for that HERE) and quite recently they launched a beauty line which I would LOVE to review at some point.
However, I was really interested in their Pads and tampons because they were organic. Plus can we talk about the packaging? It is super cute. You can tell there was definitely a lot of thought that went into the designs for this product.
Let’s start with the pads. I got the Ultra Thin with wings with the cotton seal on it. It is Hypoallergenic and breathable. Most impressive is that it is plant-based so if you have an allergy to synthetics, then this might be a good option for you. Even the wrapper is a plant based polymer so it is probably biodegradable. This product is free of polyester, artificial dyes, pesticides, and phthalates, just to name a few. Cost is $5.95 for pack of 10.
For the tampons, the materials are roughly the same, with the applicator being a plant based polymer as well. They are small enough to fit in your purse and the applicator extends when you want to use it. The applicator is not flushable however, so that is one drawback. Product is free of a lot of the same things as the pad. Cost is $5.95 for a pack of 16. To me this is very comparable to the regular tampons you will buy in the store in price and quality.
