Sara Mor Hair Straightener Brush Review

Sara Mor Hair Straightener

First post in awhile and it’s about Sara Mor Hair Straightener Brush…

I know it’s been a hot minute since I have posted to this blog, but I plan on doing it more soon. My video on KISS Instawave is one of the most popular ones on my channel so I decided to do this one about a hair straightener brush! (If you want to view the Kiss Instawave video, you can see it here- plus see how far my channel has come!)

I received this hair straightener for review, and it is perfect for people with fine hair, like me! I have to say that I really love this Hair Straightening Device over other devices I have tried. While I did purchase it at a discount rate, I would have totally paid full price for it. You can purchase it on Amazon for $33.

Sara Mor Hair Straightener
What comes with the hair straightener set.

Pros about this kit:

  1. It comes with clips, a tiny brush to clean it, and a bag to keep it in. You can easily put everything together in the bag for storage!
  2. The hair straightener heats up pretty fast and remembers the temperature you last used when you turn it off. Genius!
  3. It does not feel like it is frying my hair like other flat iron and curling irons. I could brush my hair like normal and it would slowly make my hair straight and volumized.
  4. The cord swivels for easy use and is pretty hefty. You won’t get it tangled easily.
  5. You can easily set the hair straightener to a variety of different temperatures. The booklet that it comes with describes the best temperature for any hair type.
Buttons on the side of the hair straightener.

Cons:

  1. It is very easy to turn the hair straightener off if you are not paying attention. However, it heats up so fast that if you do, it will be ready to use again in no time.
  2. It is a tiny bit heavy so after a while your arm might get tired of being used.

See my full review below and comment with whether this hair straightener brush is something you think you might use!

Just the Facts by Ellen Sherman Book Review

Just the facts by ellen sherman _ Zainey Laney

It’s Novel Nerd!

I got the opportunity to read Just The Facts by Ellen Sherman through Book Sparks University.

The book itself started off slow for me. This is not the usual type of books I read, as I go more to thriller, mystery, scifi, chick-lit, or young adult. This one is definitely just in the fiction genre. The main character, Nora, is discovering herself and her life as a reporter. This books seems to lend itself to people who are familiar to the journalism world, as some things sort of went over my head in situations. However, it was an enjoyable read and not too long!

Just the Facts is available on AMAZON in kindle, and paperback formats. Not currently available on available on Google Play.

Available: Sep 8

Press Summary:

When English major Nora Plowright finds herself staring at college graduation as if at the edge of a cliff, she decides to become a newspaper reporter–and right away, she manages to get a job at a local paper (which you could still do in 1978). Although fearful by nature, Nora pursues a tip from a stranger and soon is investigating corruption at the Maryland State Highway Authority regarding the controversial placement of a new freeway. The developing scandal, with its shady “players,” tests both her budding reportorial skills and her appetite for danger. Also, her passion for storytelling makes it increasingly difficult for her to stick to the facts.

Humorous and poignant, Just the Facts is a coming-of-age novel about finding one’s way in the real world that will resonate with anyone who has struggled with figuring out what to do when she or he grows up.

The Golden Braid by Melanie Dickerson Book Review

It’s Novel Nerd!

The Golden Braid by Melanie Dickerson _ Zainey Laney

This is the story of Rapunzel, But you have never hear it like this before. However, Rapunzel has lived alone with her mother all her life. While her mother provides for her, she forbids her to read or meet men.

When Rapunzel meets Sir Gerek, both of those rules are broken. Rapunzel finds the strength to find work at the castle and in so doing discovers the real truth of who she is.

I thoroughly enjoyed this spin on the story. The characters were deep and the story kept moving at a good pace. If you like period dramas, especially with a familiar theme, I recommend this one for sure!

The Golden Braid is available on AMAZON in kindle, audible, MP3, and hardcover formats. Not currently available on available on Google Play.

Available: Nov 17

Press Summary:

The one who needs rescuing isn’t always the one in the tower…

Rapunzel can throw a knife better than any man. She paints beautiful flowering vines on the walls of her plaster houses. She sings so sweetly she can coax even a beast to sleep. But there are two things she is afraid her mother might never allow her to do: learn to read and marry.

Fiercely devoted to Rapunzel, her mother is suspicious of every man who so much as looks at her daughter and warns her that no man can be trusted. After a young village farmer asks for Rapunzel’s hand in marriage, Mother decides to move them once again—this time, to the large city of Hagenheim.

The journey proves treacherous, and after being rescued by a knight—Sir Gerek—Rapunzel, in turn, rescues him farther down the road. As a result, Sir Gerek agrees to repay his debt to Rapunzel by teaching her to read. Could there be more to him than his arrogance and desire to marry for riches and position?

As Rapunzel acclimates to life in a new city, she uncovers a mystery that will forever change her life. In this Rapunzel story unlike any other, a world of secrets and treachery are about to be revealed after seventeen years. How will Rapunzel finally take control of her own destiny? And who will prove faithful to a lowly peasant girl with no one to turn to?

Panda Planner Review

Panda Planner Review _ Zainey Laney

I have been using a variety of Planners: Kikki K, Mambi, Erin Condren. Each has a specific purpose and organization method. Panda Planner is a different approach. First off, it comes with a web address so you can sign up to receive videos on productivity. This is good if you are not sure the best way to use the planner.

The planner itself is divided into 3 sections, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily. The monthly section has space for each day in the month, a side section for notes, and a section at the bottom. In that section, you can plan you goals and how you will succeed. There is also a space for reviewing how you succeeded at your goals. There is also a line at the top to put your habit and focus for the month. There are only enough for 6 months of information so to me this is not as good because you will have to purchase another one of these in 6 months if you like to use it.

Week view Panda Planner _ Zainey Laney

The Weekly section has a variety of different sections. You can use these to record Bog Wins, How to Improve, Things I will do to Make this week great, I’m looking forward to, Habits I am focusing on developing, Education/ Mastery, Affirmation, top goals this week, and 4 big spaces for listing all your projects. This really gets into the depth of planning specifically. There are enough for 20 weeks, so you won’t have enough weekly spots to fill what you would get to match the 6 months in the previous section. To me this is definitely a drawback as there should be 4 more weeks.

Day View Panda Planner _ Zainey Laney

Lastly is the daily section. Here you can track what you are grateful for, looking to why it will be great, affirmations, focus, exercise, priorities, schedule, tasks, notes, and a space where you can review the days wins and improvements. I like how detailed this section is, but I am not sure I could use every section everyday. From the amount of pages, there seems to be enough daily entries for 2 and a half months. For me, this is not enough because in order to get into a habit, you should do it for 28 days. However, this is good for having the ability to do it a few times a week if you want it for that.

In order to keep track of the sections, there are ribbons to place where your leave off. I think this is a great idea instead of tabs! The leather book is held closed with an elastic band and it is the perfect size to fit in your purse or bag.

Overall, I really like the concept of this planner, It has options for everything you may want to do, and keep track of. I like the positivity of it as well. I realize that this planner would have to be huge in order to make every section have enough for 6 months, but that might be a good thing. It seems like almost a mishap that there are not enough pages in it.

You can purchase this planner on AMAZON!

But stayed tuned to my YOUTUBE channel for a chance to receive this planner for free!

Return to Robinson Island By TJ Hoisington Book Review

It’s Novel Nerd!

Return to Robinson Island by TJ Hoisington _ Zainey Laney

I was recently given the opportunity to read this book, the sequel to Johann David Wyss‘s Swiss Family Robinson. The book takes place in the future, after Ernst has left the island to join the Navy, Fritz has started a family, and Francis has grown to be very skilled in animal husbandry and hunting.

After serving on the seas for a few years, Ernst takes some time off and goes back to the island for a visit, taking his friend John. While there the men discover pirate treasure, but really have no use for it on the island. Ernst takes a few pieces back to the mainland for some sound, yet discreet advice. But sinister forces are afoot, and this discovery threatens the island and the Robinson family.

This book is a very interesting read, especially if you have read the original story, or seen the movie. The description of the innovative ways used to live on the island has always fascinated me. And this story definitely does continue where the other leaves off, making a thrilling and fun ride to the end!

Return to Robinson Island is available on AMAZON in kindle, and hardcover formats. Also available on Google Play. Check out more on the website: https://www.swissfamilyreturns.com

Release date: Oct 13

Press Summary:

Inspired by the “original” Swiss Family Robinson book written in 1812 by Johann David Wyss, Return to Robinson Island is a continuation of the adventures of the Robinson family fifteen years after their famous shipwreck.
Return to Robinson Island is an entertaining, action-packed adventure story that has a thread of romance weaved throughout. It takes place fifteen years after the Robinson Family’s famous shipwreck on a remote island in the East Indies. The story highlights Ernest Robinson, who is now twenty-seven years old, engaged to be married, and is a 1st Lieutenant in the British Royal Navy. Ernest has distinguished himself as a fearless fighter, respected leader, God-fearing man, and loyal friend. However, his loyalty is tested when his commanding officer, Captain Charlie, is court-martialed on war crimes and Ernest has no choice but to tell the truth even if his testimony sends his former captain to prison.
When reports reach England that a vast treasure trove has been found on Robinson Island, Ernest and his family find themselves in mortal danger when Captain Charlie vows to retrieve the treasure for himself and wreak revenge on the entire Robinson family. Will the Robinson Family survive the attack?
Will Ernest ever see his fiancée again? One thing is certain: they won’t give up the island – or their lives – without a fight!

Every Girl Gets Confused by Janice Thompson Book Review

It’s Novel Nerd!

Every Girl Gets Confused by Janice Thompson Book Review _ Zainey Laney

OK so I confess, the real reason I chose to review this book is because the cover is purple! Not really. So I started reading this book and realized that I had read books by her before. Janice Thompson has also written the “Weddings by Bella” and “Weddings by Design” . It looks like she likes this genre as this book is part of the “Brides with Style” series. I believe this book is the second in the series, and although I did not read the first, I may just go back because I liked it.

Katie works at a bridal shop and is dating the shop owners son, Brady, who is also a Maverick’s basketball player. Or he was, but he has been benched due to an injury. Katie is trying to balance love, work, and tough decisions in her life while helping Brady through his own life changing ones. The book is filled with lots of lively characters and an easy to read story. Plus there is also an element about Doris Day (I won’t spoil it, but it’s cute and makes me want to go watch more of her movies). Definitely one you don’t have to think about!

Every Girl Gets Confused is available on AMAZON in paperback, kindle, and hardcover formats. Also available on Google Play.

Release date: Oct 20

Press Summary:

How can she choose between the love she thought she lost and the love she stumbled upon in the aftermath?

Katie Fisher and Brady James may be a match made in heaven, but that doesn’t seem to guarantee them a happily ever after accompanied by angelic choirs. Katie’s almost-fiancé Casey is back in Fairfield, ready to rekindle their relationship. And there’s nothing Katie’s parents want more than for their small-town girl to leave Dallas and come home for good.

But can she really leave Brady behind? And will she ever be able to wear that gorgeous wedding dress she won?
